Where to Park

On-street parking is available on most roadways in Downtown Newark. In addition, there is a parking garage located on the corner of 2nd St. & Market St., across from The Works.

Directions

From the West:

From northern Columbus, take SR 161 East, which combines with US 16 East and runs through Newark.
For Downtown, exit at 4th Street. From southern Columbus, take I-70 East, exit SR 13 North, which turns into 4th Street in Downtown Newark.

From the North:

Take SR 13 South, which turns into 4th Street in Downtown Newark.

From the South:

Take SR 13 North, which turns into 4th Street in Downtown Newark.

From the East:

Take US 16 West, which runs through Newark. For Downtown, exit at 4th Street.

The National Heisey Glass Museum is the premier destination to learn about handcrafted glass and the industry, specifically that which came out of the A.H. Heisey & Co. (1896-1947) right here in Newark.

The Works: Ohio Center for History, Art & Technology is a hands-on learning center where visitors of all ages can have fun and be inspired by the history, technology and artistic accomplishments of the local region. 

It is located at 55 S. 1st Street in Downtown Newark. Phone: 740-349-9277 .

The historic, 1800-seat Midland Theatre was opened in 1928 for guests to enjoy movies (“talkies”) and live productions. Restored in 2000, it features a variety of national talent.
